Class full of tweets?

Texting and Tweeting are two ways to send short updates, questions, or suggestions out to specific individuals. A text is usually sent to friends and family and a tweet goes out to all your followers. But what if it were possible to have all your students join in and send 140 character tweets to everyone else in the class during a lecture, presentation or video? You’d have a recording of all the “backchannel” conversations in your class.

TodaysMeet.com gives you the tool to capture these backchannel conversations. The free service is available at http://todaysmeet.com

Will it be useful in a classroom setting? Only if every student has access to a computer during the class. Perhaps it would be useful from home after school hours? Or during staff meetings or professional development?
